7th Consecutive Wedding Wire Award!

We’re excited to announce the winners of the ninth annual WeddingWire Couples’ Choice Awards®! This is the 7th Consecutive Wedding Wire Award for On The Town Limousines, Inc. Honorees represent the top 5% of wedding professionals nationwide for their excellence in quality, service, responsiveness, and professionalism within the wedding industry.

We are proud to honor these award-winning professionals for their exemplary work and the outstanding reputation they’ve established among newlywed couples as demonstrated through their excellent reviews. Winners are chosen based on the quality, quantity, consistency, and recency of wedding reviews they received from clients in 2016.

Engaged couples use the award as an indicator of legitimacy and reliability when selecting their team of wedding professionals. The badge demonstrates to our couples that a wedding professional is committed to providing the highest quality service throughout the planning process and on their wedding day. According to Casey Clark, Marketing Manager at Antrim 1844 Country House Hotel, a seven-time Couples’ Choice Award winner:

“Couples definitely pay attention to our awards and badges, and they know what those badges represent.”

WeddingWire hosts more than 2.5 million reviews – more than any other wedding site. We’re honored to recognize the 2017 Couples’ Choice Award winners for their accomplishments and for their dedication to excellence within the industry.

WEDDI AWARD FROM WEDDING WIRE

We were very honored and excited to receive one of the first Weddi Awards from Wedding Wire.  These new awards were announced and handed out at the recent WeddingWire World 2015 conference.  Our award is for the most reviews received in the transportation category for the last year.  So a very big thank you to all our clients who took the time to submit such wonderful reviews for us.

Prom Tips for Parents and Teens!

PROM TIPS FOR TEENS:

EVERY YEAR we get  last minute calls from parents and students asking if we have available cars because the limousine company hired either didn’t show up, broke down, sent an unsuitable vehicle, or dropped the students off and left them. This is usually because the person who hired the limousine went with the cheapest company.  Always check reviews on places like Google, Yelp, WeddingWire (Yes WeddingWire, brides are the toughest critics) and your friends and families.

Prom night is one of the most anticipated nights on the teen calendar.  A ride in a limousine to and from the big event can make the night extra-special, and turn the entire event into an extraordinarily memorable and enchanting evening.

BUT, not all transportation companies are created equally.  In fact, sometimes, chartering a limo from a poor quality company can ruin the entire night, which is why On The Town Limousines, Inc. offers the following tips for hiring professional and reliable chauffeured transportation.

1.  Talk to your friends early! The demand for transportation during the spring season can be overwhelming when so many others are chartering transportation for proms, graduations, and of course weddings. By talking to your friends early and deciding who will be in your limo group means you can book early to get the best selection of vehicles.

2.  Allow enough time to take lots of pictures. If you want to have photos of prom night, plan for your friends to meet up for pre-prom at one location (make sure the limo company has the correct address and directions). You can even ask the driver to position the vehicle to be a part of the shot.

3. Bring your I-Pod or mixed CDs. so you will have enough music for the whole ride so that you have the coolest music for the special night!

5. Extend the night – don’t forget the post-prom party! Remember to book your ride for a few extra hours to ensure you have enough time to include your after prom celebrations.

PROM TIPS FOR PARENTS:

Prom night is one of the most anticipated nights on your teen’s calendar.  From the moment your son or daughter find their date, to the moment he or she shows up at the door, every moment needs to count towards making the night both safe and special. Though you may worry about your child staying out late on prom night, hiring a chauffeured car for this most important social event of the year can transform the evening into a memorable, enchanting but most importantly safe time for your teenager – and offering you the peace of mind needed to make it through!

1.  Ask the transportation company for the Prom Promise.  This is a document that teens sign agreeing not to drink or take drugs on prom night.  Many limousine and chauffeured transportation companies offer this contract as a way to help parents address the importance of safety on prom night with their teens.

2. Give the transportation company a curfew.  That’s right; the chauffeur will abide by any rules you set forth, and will make sure to pick up and drop off your teens at a designated hour.  This is a great way to ensure your teems make it home, on time, no excuses.

3.  Set some ground rules.  As the parent, you have the right to tell the transportation company what will and will not be tolerated in the vehicle.  For example, you can ask that the chauffeur keep the privacy screen down for the entire ride, so that he/she has a full grasp of what your teens are up to.  If any of your rules are broken, the chauffeur can turn the car around and bring your teens home.  Most reputable limousine companies will tell you how they handle trips with students.  We want the students have fun, but most importantly we want them to be SAFE.

4. Remember to sit back and relax. A reputable and legally operated company hires drivers with proper training and licensing. Our drivers all have Maryland Public Service Commission licenses and have undergone fingerprinting and criminal background checks.  This professionalism helps ensure your teenager’s safety, and your peace of mind.  Ask the driver for his/her name and cell phone number.  Reputable companies and responsible drivers will have no problem with giving you the driver contact information once the services are assigned.

5. Our staff attends the Annual Limousines Company Training Seminar hosted by the Keeping It SAFE: Under Twenty-One Alcohol Prevention Coalition and The Montgomery County Police Department.

Wedding shows – should you go?

Christmas and  Valentines Day are two of the most popular holidays when many people choose to pop that big question! Wedding Shows are in abundance from the beginning of January to April.  Should you go?  The answer is absolutely yes! You can often do one stop shopping at the larger shows where the vendors are all able to talk with you and share with you very important information, and of course there are always lots of give aways for the Brides and Grooms in attendance. Take the time to compare the different vendors so that you get the perfect fit for your style and budget. We always love to meet our clients and then when we follow up with phone calls, we already have that all important personal connection.

Wedding Planning Tip – Do I Need A Coordinator?

We are often asked, should I use a wedding coordinator?

The answer is that a wedding coordinator can make your life a whole lot simpler, and will keep you on track as you head into the big day, and then on the day will make sure you have nothing to worry about, being there to answer all those last minute questions that may come up.  You can hire someone just for the day of service, or someone who will help you from the moment that you engage their services.  Need some recommendations of good wedding coordinators?  Just give us a call and we will be happy to give you the names of some true professionals.

Wedding Planning – When Should I Book My Wedding Transportation?

Congratulations, you just got engaged, and now the planning starts!

One of the questions we are frequently asked is, “how long in advance should I book my transportation?”  The answer to that is, as soon as you have formulated a plan for the kind of transportation you want.  Nine months out is not too long especially if you are planning a large wedding providing shuttle service for the majority of your guests, the sooner you start talking to us the better.

We always feel so bad when we have to turn brides away because they have left it too late to reserve the vehicles they need.  Every year there are some “hot” dates in the most popular months, usually around a holiday time.  This year October 12th is one of those dates, so plan early if you know you have chosen one of these very popular dates.
